DESTI

AKC Champion Polar Mist Brown Eyed Girl

Desti came to us from Lynette Blue (Polar Mist Samoyeds) in Bend, Oregon.  Lynette interrogated the heck out of us *something ALL responsible breeders SHOULD do* to see if we were worthy to have one of her precious puppies.  On a Valentine's Day many years ago Desti arrived at the Albuquerque Airport in her little pink crate.  She was the most adorable fluffball we had ever seen.  Now that she's grown up, she still loves being pretty and being the boss!

Desti was rarely shown until the age of 5 and then wham!  She obtained her AKC Champion very quickly thanks to my friend Bobbie LaFortune who showed her for me.  This girl never  put a foot out of place!  Bobbie claimed she was a fun girl to show - my favorite story is the time the judge came up to her to examine her mouth.  Desti, in true naughty Samoyed girl fashion, reached down and took a big bite of dirt just in time.  There she was, showing her sammy smile to the judge, grinning from ear to ear, with mud all over her lips and teeth.  She also once decided she did not like a certain judge, so when the judge went to go over her, Desti turned her back, feet planted four-square, but wrong-end facing the judge.  That was Desti and how Bobbie ever lived thru it, I'll never know!

Desti's sire was AKC Champion Polar Mist Mover N-A Shaker.  Her dam was AKC Champion Polar Mist White Feather.

Desti went to the Rainbow Bridge in early spring 2006, just one week after Jack went to the Rainbow Bridge.  Although old age had started to creep up on her, we really think her heart just broke when Jack died.  She is very much missed.
